Core-Introductory Craft Skills

This class provides trainees with basic safety and other necessary knowledge and skills to perform in an introductory capacity on project sites. NCCER Core is designed as a rigorous, competency-based, industry-recognized program for career and technical education. Successful completion of this curriculum serves as a prerequisite to all other NCCER Level 1 construction curriculum (Carpentry, Heavy Equipment Operator, HVAC, and Plumbing).

Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Basic Safety
  • Introduction to Construction Math
  • Hand Tools
  • Power Tools
  • Construction Drawings
  • Basic Communication
  • Employability Skills
  • Material Handling
44 Lab Hours / 30 Self-Paced Online Course Hours / 74 Hours Total

Potential Certification:  Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn the National Center for Construction Education & Research's (NCCER) Core Certification.

Tuition:  $1,098 Full Price; $366 FastForward WCG Price
