This program is intended for individuals interested in employment in the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning industry. The increasing development of HVAC technology causes employers to recognize the importance of continuous education and keeping up to speed with the latest equipment and skills. Hence, technical school training or apprenticeship programs often provide an advantage and a higher qualification for employment.

NCCER’s program has been designed by highly qualified subject matter experts with this in mind. NCCER is an officially recogizned training provider for North American Technician Excellence (NATE), an independent, third-party certification body for HVAC/R technicians. Our NATE-recognized, NCCER-accredited training providers present theoretical and practical skills essential to your success as an HVAC installer or technician.
The following modules are covered in this first of four level program:
  • Introduction to HVAC
  • Trade Mathematics
  • Basic Electricity
  • Introduction to Heating
  • Introduction to Cooling
  • Introduction to Air Distribution Systems
  • Basic Copper and Plastic Piping Practices
  • Soldering and Brazing
  • Basic Carbon Steel Piping Practices
Pre-requisite: NCCER Core Certification.
Potential Certifications: Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) HVAC Level One Certification.

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, NCCER subscription andHVAC Level One exam registration fee, as well as a $50 credential attainment incentive.
