The NCCER Core – Introductory Craft Skills is a prerequisite to all other Level 1 craft curriculum. This short-term training program prepares students for the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core - Introductory Craft Skills exam. This 9-module program covers topics such as Basic Safety, Materials Handling, Construction Math, Hand and Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Basic Rigging, Basic Communication Skills, and Construction Industry Employability Skills. Completing this curriculum gives the trainee the basic skills needed to continue education in any craft area he or she chooses.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core - Introductory Craft Skills exam.
Tuition: $1,098 Full Price; $366 FastForward WCG Price
FastForward Workforce Credential Grant (WCG) pays 2/3 of the cost of tuition: You pay 1/3 of tuition upon enrollment; the Commonwealth of Virginia pays 1/3 upon successful completion of the class; the final 1/3 is paid by the Commonwealth of Virginia when you earn the credential.
In addition to receiving grant funding, you may qualify for other funding assistance programs to receive additional tuition assistance.
Supplies and Fees:
Tuition includes cost of textbooks, supplies, NCCER Core - Introductory Craft Skills exam registration fee, as well as a $50 credential attainment incentive.
