PHCC offers a range of intensive, short-term training programs that may lead to certification and licensure in careers that do not require a 2 or 4 year degree. Click on "Certificate” on the left menu bar to see all programs offered. Click on "Funding Assistance" on the left menu bar to learn about available resources.  

The Nurse Aide Training certificate program combines instruction and hands-on training to prepare the student to enter the workforce at a much faster pace. Students who successfully complete the academic, lab, and clinical components will be eligible to apply for the Virginia Board of Nursing exam. 

The following supplies and fees are included in tuition: textbook and workbook, scrubs and shoes, clinical kit with stethoscope, medical supplies, CPR card fee, TB test fee, and nurse aide state board fee. A $50 credential attainment incentive is provided.

Additional fees to student: background check, drug screen ,and wristwatch.

Pre-requisites: English VPT assessment with score on ENF level I; CPR Training / Certification; and background check.
