This four-level program covers the concepts technicians need to safely install, test, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and public buildings. Level 1 covers basic concepts, math for the trades, and plumbing safety basics.
 
Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Introduction to the Plumbing Profession
  • Plumbing Safety
  • Tools of the Plumbing Trade
  • Introduction to Plumbing Math
  • Introduction to Plumbing Drawings
  • Plastic Pipe and Fittings
  • Copper Pipe and Fittings
  • Cast-Iron Pipe and Fittings
  • Carbon Steel Pipe and Fittings
  • Introduction to Plumbing Fixtures
  • Introduction to Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems
  • Introduction to Water Distribution Systems
Length: 145 Course Hours (105 face-to-face & 40 online)

Format: Classes meet face-to-face and are supplemented with online learning.

Prerequisite:  NCCER Core certification
 
Potential Certifications: Upon successful completion of all modules in the curriculum, students will receive the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Plumbing Level One certification.

Tuition:  $4,725 Full Price; $1,575 FastForward WCG Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.

Occupational Objective: A shortage of qualified Plumbers has created the need for trained personnel in the construction industry. Plumbers and their associated trades constitute one of the largest construction occupations.
