NCCER Carpentry Level 2: Core Carpentry & Structural Systems

This four-level program provides a comprehensive foundation in carpentry skills, covering various aspects of the craft. Level 2 expands on Level 1 with more advanced topics such as commercial drawings, roofing applications, thermal and moisture protection and exterior finishing.

Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Commercial Drawings
  • Cold-Formed Steel Framing
  • Exterior Finishing
  • Thermal and Moisture Protection
  • Roofing Applications
  • Doors and Door Hardware
  • Drywall Installation
  • Drywall Finishing
  • Suspended Ceilings
  • Window, Door, Floor, and Ceiling Trim
  • Cabinet Installation
Format: Hybrid (face-to-face, supplemented with online learning)

Length: 210 Course Hours (148 in-person / 62 online)

Prerequisite: NCCER's Core and Carpentry Level 1 or General Carpentry certifications.
 
Potential Certification: Upon successful completion of all modules in the curriculum, students will receive the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) Carpentry Level 2 certification.
 
Tuition: $3,450 Full Price; $1,150 FastForward WCG Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.

Occupational Objective: Carpenters make up the largest building trades occupation in the industry and those with all-around skills are in high demand. Carpenters construct, install, and repair structures made of wood and other materials.
