This four-level program covers the foundational skills technicians need to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. Level 1 introduces basic HVACR theories and industry practices, covering topics like heating, cooling, and air distribution systems.

Topics covered include the following:
  • Introduction to HVACR
  • Trade Mathematics
  • Basic Electricity
  • Introduction to Heating
  • Introduction to Cooling
  • Air Distribution Systems
  • Basic Copper and Plastic Piping Practices
  • Soldering and Brazing
  • Basic Carbon Steel Piping Practices
Length: 122 Course Hours (91 face-to-face / 31 online)

Prerequisite:  NCCER Core certification

Potential Certifications:  Students who successfully complete all modules in the curriculum will receive the National Center for Construction Education & Research HVAC Level 1 and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications.

Tuition:  $4,095 Full Price; $1,365 WCG FastForward Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees:  Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.
 
Occupational Objective: HVACR career paths may include HVAC technician, HVAC installer, HVAC engineer, HVAC energy auditor, and HVAC building automation specialist.
