This four-level program covers the concepts technicians need to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVACR systems. Level 2 expands on Level 1 with more advanced HVAC principles, including compressors, refrigerants, and maintenance techniques.

Its modules cover topics such as:

  • Metering Devices
  • Refrigerants and Oils
  • Leak Detection, Evacuation, Recovery, and Charging

Length: 162 Course Hours (119 in-person / 43 online)

Hybrid Format: Classes meet face-to-face and are supplemented with online learning.

Admission Requirements: NCCER's Core and HVAC Level 1 certifications

Potential Certifications: Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) HVAC Level 2 certificate.
 
Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of required textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.
 
Occupational Objective: HVACR technicians are skilled professionals responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential, commercial, and industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. Career paths may include HVAC technician, HVAC installer, HVAC engineer, HVAC engineer auditor, and HVAC building automation specialist.
