This four-level program provides a comprehensive foundation in electrical skills, covering various aspects of the craft. It places emphasis on safe work practices, while covering applied electrical theory and residential, commercial, and industrial electrical knowledge and skills. Coverage of National Electrical Code is integrated throughout. Level 1 introduces students to the electrical craft, covering safety practices, electrical theory, basic electrical construction drawings, and residential working fundaments.
 
Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Occupational Overview: The Electrical Industry
  • Safety of Electricians
  • Introduction to Electrical Circuits
  • Electrical Theory
  • Introduction to the National Electrical Code
  • Outlet, Device, Pull, and Junction Boxes
  • Hand Bending
  • Wireways, Raceways, and Fittings
  • Conductors and Cables
  • Basic Electrical Construction Documents
  • Residential Wiring
  • Electrical Test Equipment
Length: 112 Course Hours

Prerequisite:  NCCER Core certification
 
Potential Certifications: Upon successful completion of all modules in the curriculum, students will receive the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Electrical Level 1 certification.

Tuition:  $2,850 Full Price; $950 WCG FastForward Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.

Occupational Objective: Students at this certification level are prepared for entry-level support or assistant positions in the electrical field, such as electrical helper, electrician trainee, or residential wiring assistant.
