This four-level program covers the concepts technicians need to safely install, test, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and public buildings. Level 3 builds on skills from the first two levels, focusing on applied math, the water supply system, venting, pumps, service plumbing, and more.
 
Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Applied Math
  • Service Plumbing
  • Sizing and Protecting the Water Supply System
  • Potable Water Supply Treatment
  • Types of Ventilation
  • Sizing DWV and Storm Systems
  • Sewage Pumps and Sump Pumps
  • Corrosive-Resistant Waste Piping
  • Compressed Air
Length: 157 Course Hours

Prerequisite:  NCCER Core and NCCER Plumbing Levels 1 and 2 certifications
 
Potential Certifications: Upon successful completion of all modules in the curriculum, students will receive the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Plumbing Level 3 certification.

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.

Occupational Objective: Plumbing is one of the most essential and recession-resistant careers in skilled trades. Plumbers have a wide range of career opportunities, from traditional plumbing roles to specialized fields. Career paths may include plumber's helper, apprentice plumber, plumber technician, residential plumber, commercial plumber, industrial plumber, master plumber, plumbing contractor, plumbing inspector, and estimator/project manager.
