Students learn to perform both administrative and patient clinical procedures in a variety of medical settings. Program includes CPR training/certification.

Tasks performed could include:
  • Interviewing patients
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Maintaining patient records
  • Preparing exam rooms
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
  • Assisting providers with exams and procedures
  • Administering injections, as well as topical and oral medications
  • Performing point-of-care testing
  • Performing electrocardiograms
Length: 150 Course Hours

Curriculum Requirement: High School Diploma or GED

Potential Certifications: Students who successfully complete the program will earn CPR certification and will be eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam.
 
Tuition: $3,900 Full Price; $1,300 FastForward WCG Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees: Tuition includes cost of required textbook, workbook, supplies, CPR certification, exam study guide and practice tests, and exam voucher.

Employment Objective: CCMA's work in physicians' offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Getting certified as a medical assistant can enhance your salary, make you more competitive, and build you skill set. Many employers look for candidates with credentials because it provides tangible proof of skills and knowledge.
