This course introduces students to basic safety and essential construction knowledge and skills, the foundation for all craft programs.

Its modules cover topics such as:
  • Basic Construction Site Safety
  • Introduction to Construction Math
  • Introduction to Hand Tools
  • Introduction to Power Tools
  • Introduction to Construction Drawings
  • Basic Communication Skills
  • Basic Employability Skills
  • Introduction Material Handling
Length: 75 Course Hours (56 face-to-face / 19 online)

Potential Certification:  Upon successful completion of all modules in the curriculum, students will receive the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core: Introduction to Basic Construction Skills certification.

Tuition:  $2,100 Full Price; $700 FastForward WCG Price; $0 G3 Price

Supplies and Fees:  Tuition includes cost of textbook, supplies, and NCCER subscription fee.

Occupational Objective: Prepares students for entry-level positions on project sites.
